Intermission
Encore
From KROMADAS13 (Email 6/28)I told ya so, stick with me you guys and you wont go far wrong. This has been copied and pasted from the AMRW group: Well, the Portland Oregon show is 2 hours old and it was epic.
For those who didn't know, they were filming the DVD version of the concert for later release. I'll post the setlist (and, presumably, the likely songs that will be on the DVD) below. If you want the DVD to be a surprise, DON'T READ ANY FURTHER.
I counted at least 3 stationary cameras and 5 moving ones, including 25' boom cams on either side of the stage and a 50+ foot boom center rear. Also, somewhere around the 15 row floor they had removed a few rows and installed a dolly cart track with an on-board camerman who was pushed back and forth all night.
The show opened with an intro from the radio announcer voice on KAOS (Jim Ladd). He made some comments about the filming and how we should be quiet during the song, then clap afterwards; how we should ignore the cameras, etc.
I know I for one can't wait for the DVD!!!!!
PS- I snagged one of the posters plastered on the stadium entrances- something about the concert being recorded, you lose all rights to your image if you enter, etc. Kinda cool!
I went and saw Roger tonight and I have to say it was the most fantastic show I have ever seen. The show started at 8:30 and ended just before midnight PDT. Only 20 minutes at the most for the intermission and then back to the music with a haunting rendition of Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun. The whole show was video-taped tonight and the entire band was up for the task. I just can not stress how amazing it was. Mr. Waters is certainly a class act and while I've been a long time fan of Pink Floyd I will now forever be a Roger Waters fan. If he ever comes back I will certainly get tickets again.
Go Back.
