Intermission
Encore
We got there a bit for the show and had some time to people watch. When we finally went in we decided to head in, we made our dash for the Merch stall and picked up the T-shirt/program and such. Well, we finally got our beer and to our seats for the show.
The show started late as so more people could get to their seats, but the show startedsoon after. The show was a lot different from last years as the slides were a bit different in places, some some songs gone and replaced with others. Gone are Thin Ice, ABOTW 1, Powers that Be, and replaced with Set the Controls, Bravery of Being out of Range, and the new song Each Small Candle. I think the animation/slides were better and the set list flowed better on last years tour..
The Intermission was cut to 10 minutes due to the late start of the show
For the most part the show was good, with a few mistakes, like Roger missing the first line in Perfect Sense, and a horrible chord change during Andy Fairweathers Low's solo in Money. The Highlights for me was Dogs and all his Amused to Death stuff. I wish he would play more solo material and not make it mainly a Pink Floyd show. I loved the 84 Pro's and Cons show when he did the first half Floyd and the second half Solo (Pros and Cons).
All in all it was a good time, I just hope next time he comes back he will make it more of a Roger Waters Solo show. Some thing to watch for though... During Every Strangers Eyes..When he does the verse " Now, from where i stand, Upon this Hill..." I am convinced he is TOTALLY lypsyncing to the orginal track!! The rest of the song he does live, but I can only assume that at his voice cant hit the high notes that verse requres anymore. He comes back live at "The hope you kindle in your eyes..watch for it!
While heading back to our car, I over heard someone saying, "Well, that was a let-down". I think people were expecting something on a "Floydian" Scale but I loved the smallness and simplicity of the show.
Go Back.
