Are any of the songs different from previously released ones?
Of the twelve tracks on the album from Waters previous albums and soundtracks, the following differences have been noted:
Too Much Rope
The sounds at the start of the song have been changed. The second and third "bangs" sound much more like an ax hitting wood than the original release. In addition, after the third "bang", there is the sound of tearing wood.
Perfect Sense Part I & II
The live version is substituted for the original track. In all live versions, the backwards message to Stanley Kubrick has been removed. In its place is a clip from the movie "2001". At the time of Amused to Death's release, it was widely reported that Kubrik refused to allow the clip to be used.
The portion containing Marv Albert has an additional line ("He's at periscope depth")
Lost Boys Calling
The version on this album is the original demo version. It has very little musical accompaniment and Roger's singing is much less refined.
A choral verse is missing from the middle of the song
The last verse is a repeat of the middle chorus rather than the missing chorus.
