In creating this dream town they were fast using up all the local materials. But as it was a time of great prosperity, Ion could afford to send people out into all corners of the world to bring back the harvests and the raw materials of many lands, to fill and feed his fast-growing tower.

Despite peace and plenty and armies of smiling workers, Beth became increasingly concerned. She felt that Ion had gone too far and that nature was itself becoming a prisoner inside the tower.
